looks lovely, didn't think the flowers were that big.

Yes,it's going to grow (slowly) into a large tree! I love Magnolias - especially the white ones.

Yes, Neellan, all due to the cold winter delaying the Magnolia flowers - the Narcissi are on time. :-))))

Thanks, Holly - it might be the first and last time I get to see them flowering at the same time!

14 Apr, 2010

Really lovely. I thought there would be some all at once spring shots over there this year. A welcome sight these two performing together.

14 Apr, 2010

14 Apr, 2010

Thanks, Ray/Jane. It's the best it's been since I planted it 5 years ago. :-)))

14 Apr, 2010

Oh..maybe the cold winter was what has spurred it to flower so well ? Just a theory....Janette was saying the same about her Ribes...

14 Apr, 2010

I wondered - but it could just be that it's one more year older, couldn't it!

14 Apr, 2010

Hm...maybe another winter like the last will tell ! On the other hand...lets go with the age theory !!

14 Apr, 2010

Ohhhhh noooo don't even THINK that! I shall definitely hibernate if that happens again! :-((((((((((((((

14 Apr, 2010

14 Apr, 2010

14 Apr, 2010

Darent look Spritz...please ..NO...............

14 Apr, 2010

I shall watch the latest forecast at 10.35 after reading the paper today. Not good, although only a short period, apparently. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

14 Apr, 2010

14 Apr, 2010

Too true. :-(((

Ouch, and there was I just thinking it was a nasty rumour regarding bad weather coming in! Lovely magnolia Spritz, I have had one in my garden for years, but don't think it likes my soil. I know they hate being moved, but hoping I can pass it on to a friend who has acidic soil if it survives being dug up that is! :~((

15 Apr, 2010

I have neutral soil, Flori - and you can see that mine is thriving! i agree - I don''t think they appreciate being moved.

15 Apr, 2010

Hi Spritz......Jane been planting out too today ! Pm sent earlier......

15 Apr, 2010

16 Apr, 2010
