Nearly died a couple of years ago, was in the wrong soil, far too dry, now in damper soil and fully recovered..

No not really, it was on a very dry bank before, and obviously not happy there......the soil is heavier and it is near our tiny pond, and is very happy, we have just this very day split Zebrinus it was getting enormous, took both of us to dig it out!! so now it is a shadow of its former self! hope it survives.....going to attempt the Stipa tomorrow which is huge, wish me luck!

Thanks Angela,I've had mine a good few years now,and it's been split about three times,with no adverse effects :o) Good luck,I remember the struggle well ! Lol

That's looking good,Angela..Do all Miscanthus prefer damp soil then? I have Zebrinus,and all are in dry soil .. mainly because I don't think to water them very often !
