How lovely are they?
They are just like miniature Ascot hats :-)
Really pretty.

Not late Karen- in fact 2 or 3 weeks earlier than normal for these ones. My others aren't out yet, the earliest of mine to flower is also late - but that will be due to me moving it!
Thanks Chris, not to everyone's taste but I love them because they remind me of my grandfather. The scent is incredible too.
Thanks DD2 :)

I love them, and that's a beauty. Only wish I'd room for more than just the Paeonia rubra plena but I haven't really any sunny, open situations left, unless I start digging up even more of the lawn!

Ours unfortunately has no perfume....

TB, I find P. Sarah Bernhardt copes will with a good bit of shade. She does get rather tall, needs staking and flowers later. She's a few week away from flowering yet. Double whites and single magenta next!

I tried to get SB going last year in the shade, but the SAS ate her! Might have another go with a bigger plant. I like the sound of what's to come for you.

Wow, that seems a bit late Angie....but then, I suppose it is only early June. They were worth the wait anyway!
