This is a beautiful flowering vine, which is difficult to photograph well. Photo taken at Solana Beach, San Diego County, CA. on Feb. 22, 2012.

Not really, although I have heard claims of them coming through mild winters..............

I know originally these vines were thought to be very tender. However, I've read they can handle pretty cold temps, especially the common pink variety.

Mine was a cutting from a plant growing outdoors, so it will have some genetic tolerance maybe...............

The pink should be hardy...the variety 'Alba' is much more tender, so I've read. They both are commonly grown here in San Diego.
