Reallllllly Excited!!! There are hundreds of buds on this one and the first one has finally opened. Really delicate little thing, with a gorgeous smell of lemon and black pepper. I'm so happy right now !!!!

This is lovely, you've got a good collection - is this a commercial business for you or are you a private collector ?

I'm definitely not a business, and I wouldn't call myself a private collector!!
I just love them, there's something to look at all year round and they are stunning.
I only really realised how many species there were last year and i've been expanding ever since!
Also , they are so easy to take cuttings and seed from.
Just fab.

Wow another stunner :-)
Are they easy to grow from seed Andy?, not something I've ever tried.
Can see why you're addicted to them, you have some beauties, with me its daylilies have over 100 varieties, oops.

Bless ya....I love day lilies too. I'm not sure about the seed......cuttings are easy though.
I can root you one after the season if you like. Its a brilliant plant. Needs to be kept frost free though.

Oooo thanks Andy that'd be great, very kind of you, have the perfect spot in my sunroom :-) if there are any of my daylilies you fancy just ask ;-) not all are suitable for splitting yet, but if or when they are will happily send you a division.

Sounds like a plan, Simbad!!
I will take a cutting or two in a week or so . If you send me a message with your address, I will post them wrapped in lots of damn toweling. All you'll have to do is drop some rooting powder on and pop them in some soil !!
The success rate on cuttings is really really high. And they should flower next summer too !!
