Feeling jealous...mine are just tiny leaves yet!

In one word - Cheated! They didn't come back up this year, so I popped two more in the space.

LOL!!! :)))))))

My favourite primula....I lost all mine through the winter and bought 6 new ones.....

Cheat! I was about to say 'Oooo - yours are WAY ahead of mine!' but then I read the comments ;-)

25 May, 2010

I thnk some of mine have survived...they are just starting to really grow properly...at least I hope that's what is growing!

25 May, 2010

Motinot - I said I cheated, but we were both only replacing casualties, weren't we! ;-)

25 May, 2010

I had another look and I don't think any have survived after all. Two japonicas just flowering which I thought were these ....I shan't replace them...they are not hardy enough and I'll get something just as nice but tougher!

love this

Yes, I do too, Holly - but they're almost like annuals...I can't get them established! I keep saying 'No more' but then I find a plant or two at a good price, and buy them. ;-/

25 May, 2010

That is so lovely.

25 May, 2010

my soil is too alkaline for them to survive.

Mine has survived...sounds like I've got lucky.

Want to get one of these for our bog area, used to grow them many moons ago, do love the colours.

25 May, 2010

I planted the original ones on the stream bank - you'd think they'd like it there, wouldn't you????

26 May, 2010

Yes the ideal place, bought one yesterday, only a baby one, so a great deal of growing to do before the winter.....

27 May, 2010

Well - they don't like it there....I wish they did. :-(((((

28 May, 2010

I've tried these three times - this year they've come back but they're still tiny. Hope to have flowers to photograph later.

29 May, 2010

Glad to hear that they're back, Wagger - they do seem to be a bit temperamental!

29 May, 2010

Temperamental ! ! ! - tell me about it! Mine went white with the shock of being in my garden last year - and the red bit went green! Never seen anything like it, now waiting to see what it'll look like this year, lol.

29 May, 2010

LOL....Poor thing - 'You' probably thought you had a new cultivar! ;-))))

29 May, 2010

Maybe I have - only time will tell. ;-)))

30 May, 2010

Fun watching it, though!

30 May, 2010

I'll keep you posted. :-)))

30 May, 2010

Oh please do...it sounds fascinating!
