I was going to say that Sheila , it's very pretty Janey I didn't notice any nibbles until you gave the game away ;o)

They look good enough to eat so no wonder there are a few nibbles :)

Ha ha girls, I wonder who eats them this time of the year?
Must be those ladybirds, haven't seen any snails or slugs for months??? Ah, maybe the birds like a quick bite, especially if they're sugar coated....:o))

Very cold here and for so long. -40F/C But I`ve just returned from a holiday in the desert southest US so I got a chance to escape. Still sorting those shots out to share. I wish I was still seeing nice frost like this. The deep freeze is much different.

OMG - 40 I cannot imagine how cold that must be, I would never get out of bed Greenthumb........
Janey it would be those little black slugs, they hide away, so you cannot spot them.......still it is a lovely picture.

Makes me appreciate 8 degrees Greenthumb! Btw, Janey, nice new avatar. :))

Wow Gt, and we thought we had it bad last winter! Like Dd and Sheila, I can't imagine -40 or how you would cope with it, especially out in the forest areas. How do you manage keeping running water, or do you melt the snow? It must be like a form of survival every winter. I bet you enjoyed your holiday, one extreme to the other! we will be looking forward to sharing your pics.
Thanks Dd...I didn't realize we had winter black slugs, I suppose they will need to feed on something, they're having an easy winter this year....:o)
Thanks Sheila....we have so many early bulbs out now don't we, I noticed Celandines in the park yesterday!
26 Jan, 2012
:)) Mmm, makes winter seem that bit shorter.
27 Jan, 2012
Yes, soon be Feb, then I feel we're on our way don't you....:o))

Absolutely. Bought some seed compost yesterday and watered a few things in the greenhouse: lots to look forward to. :))

There is Sheila.....bought 3 Hebes today, small leaved ones, popped them in the GH, till I know where to put them! I still can't resist good buys, though really I haven't any room left....:o((
