Beautiful wish mine were blooming as early as this beauty!

I love it, even though I had to wait three years for it to flower. This year it's even better! :-) It's always an early one.

Bought mine last year and just planted it. Its flowering beautifully. Love the closeup shot!

You were lucky not to have to wait, Tetra! Isn't it a beautiful plant. :-))

I really love this rose....

I was by the sound of things Spritz, it could well have been fairly established in the pot, tho I only paid £6.99 for it at the GC...dont think lots of people realise quite what it is - nor would I if I hadnt seen it at a couple of stately homes at the right time of year..lucky for me!

That's how I got to know about it, too. ;-)

Will definitely buy some if I can find some. Very beautiful. Lovely photograph. bredakelly

Thank you - and welcome to GoY.

I don't think it's difficult to track down, but be careful where you plant it. It needs a sheltered position, facing south or south-west.

I adore this too. To me this just shouts out ENGLAND in the spring!! I know I will never grow it of course, so that makes it's appeal even greater! Wonderful...keep snapping this one for us please!

Welcome from me too Breda.

Good news Spritz, I noticed I do have a flower bud on my third tree paeony, so that's three plants, three buds!! Halleluia! All my tree paeonies are budding!

2 May, 2011

That IS good news! :-) Are they all different colours?

2 May, 2011

I want one ! !
I do, I do ! !
LOL

2 May, 2011

Oh, do you now....want to borrow my shoehorn, Val? lol.

2 May, 2011

Yes, I think they are all different B. One is yellow, one looks to be magenta or perhaps lilac, and the other one is yet to show it's colour.

3 May, 2011

Very, very nice. :-)))

4 May, 2011

The third one may be red...so excited! and now my marsh orchids are flowering..only planted this winter! result!

4 May, 2011

Duh - what are marsh orchids please? Oh - hang on...I looked in my RHS book. Yes, indeedy, I'd be jumping up and down if I had those - where did you get them, K?

4 May, 2011

I think it was Fothergills B.....not quite sure to be honest, but it was one of the seed companies. They came, three tiny bits of root....no more than the end of your little finger! I was disappointed, but they have grown, so good result in the end! Will post pics later.

5 May, 2011

OK, thanks. I wouldn't mind growing them....

5 May, 2011
