beautiful flowers. I have just cut one of my pink roses down and Gerry dug out the root as it always suffers badly from black spot and loses all it's leaves every year. We spray it, and pick up all the dead leaves etc but no success. Is there a climbing rose resistant to this disease?

Inverglen thanks, all our roses are suffering this year, really fed up with spraying, I don't know to be truthful Lindak, all ours have the same trouble, let me know if you find one!!

Just been looking at the web for disease resistant climbing roses to rust and blackspot. They came up with Mayflower, iceburg, John Cabot, Louis Jolliet. Next time I go to a nurseries I'm going to take a look and see what I can find.

My Mortimer Sackler seems fine, an Austin rose, soft pink and perfumed and more or less thornless, I haven't noticed any thorns. The flowers are smaller than many Austins, stroller has some lovely pics of it, she's had one a while:-)
