Rosa Felicite Perpetue

Rosa Felicite Perpetue (Rosa 'Félicité Perpétue')

My attempts at growing this gorgeous rambler espalier on my back fence hasn't quite gone as I envisaged. More down to my lack of knowledge on how roses grow than anything else I suspect.
Still, plenty of flowers though. I'll give this a good cut right back and try something different I think.

It looks lovely! You've tied it In beautifully...along horizontals to promote flowering, and it is flowering beautifully! So why aren't you pleased Angie?

i agree, its beautiful as it is!

In a few places it's not so neat and there are a couple of horizontals missing on the other side. Once I get it filled out more on the other side I suspect I'll be much happier with it.
Thanks for you lovely comments they are appreciated, it's just me focusing on the negative rather than giving myself a pat on the back for perseverance :)

My first reaction was the same as C'karens. I dk how long you have had it there but I would think it is as good as anything else you might plant. Patience is a virtue. You have the skill give the plant a year or two to develop, then you will be kept very busy cutting it back. It is beautiful.
