Tiger Swallowtail, Intermediate

DiOhio

By Diohio

Tiger Swallowtail, Intermediate (Rudbeckia purpurea)

There are 3 phases of Tiger Swallowtail - the regular yellow phase has both male and female, and then there's the black phase that are only female and there's an Intermediate phase that are only female and look inbetween yellow and and black - almost a chocolate color. This girl is leaning toward Intermediate.

Thanks ! I think that a lot of us are on the right track Buzzbee. Years ago I used to use pesticides. Not any longer and my garden is so much more full of life !
It shouldn't take too long for your Echinacea to spread. You're gonna love it ! I could sit for hours and just watch the butters fly in. All kinds !
