I think you've encouraged lots of us to try growing coleus, David! This is beautiful, looks like velvet and it's reminded me I have some choc mint cornettos in the freezer - excuse me a moment while I nip and get one :)

:-D) Gee.

Lol, Shirley! No, don't visit those places too often, nowadays, and haven't noticed any in them in recent years. :-)) Spritzhenry sent us seeds of this one last year, for our "chocolate garden". They were very successful, but didn't keep any, so bought more seed in Spring.

Thank You! I'd have beeen "mortified" if they hadn't grown, as this was the first plant I ever grew from seed at school, aged 7, and had told my children so, lol!

Our daughter bought us one this summer, it has flowered so OH can collect seed from this then?

25 Sep, 2010

Yes, he should be able to collect the seeds, Dd. Any non-flowering shoots will readily root in water in about a week or so, too. Cutting back will also promote bushier growth, too.

Thanks David, we want to keep them going for next years opening.
