I love this shrub. I had it in my old garden. It's not as floriferous as the plain green one, but it's so pretty in the winter time! :)

Amy - I obtained this via Freecycle earlier today - I need to write a short blog about the effort it took to get this to my house!
Thanks Karen ... you will have to buy yourself one for the new garden!

Just posted it Amy - Freecycle is a good way of keeping things from going to the tip for landfill - some of the things offered are strange sometimes! I have given knitting patterns/wool/dress patterns/fabric as my Mum no longer knits or sews and I have obtained a white Buddleia and a standard Holly via Freecycle over the past couple of years! It's easy to join - just find your local one - :o)

I don't have a need for a lot of the shrubs I had at the old place, as they were all bought to hide the fence. It's funny, but gardening here is something totally different, and I haven't quite got a 'handle' on it yet. The other two gardens were created to give me seclusion and nature in a very built up area. This one is the opposite...I have seclusion, I have nature, I have views. It's wonderful. From now on, I only have to grow the exact plants I want to grow!! :))))) But I do like this shrub, and I might get one for the back fence area which I am planting mostly with golden foliage plants. :)

Well, it's early days for you in the new garden (and house!) ... your happiness at being there shines through in your words Karen ... and I do like the idea of golden foliage plants. I love my Ligustrum 'Lemon & Lime' and am so pleased to have cuttings growing well from it. :o)

There are a few brown tips on some of the leaves Carole ... but nothing to worry about! Just need Michael to dig a big hole for it as I know where it's going now ... :o)
