I have always wanted to grow this for its spectacular colour...I will definitely give it a go Janey, after seeing yours...Is there a downside to this climber at all?

Hi Fp....I think it need quite a lot of room, which I don't really have, as there are climbing roses and clematis on the trellis too. It has really grown this year with the rain, but in the right spot would be fabulous.

Yes, Janey being a creeper, it needs plenty of space..It is just like Ivy, once growing no stopping it...But both the
Ivy, & the vine are so beautiful when giving the space..By the way Jane, i am referring to the variegated
Ivy & not the common one...lol These type of climbers are great for walls or fences that you wish to conceal..
Your garden, is looking lovely as usual Janey...: ))

I do like all the ivies Fp.......even the very dark green veined ones, but yes they are real thugs, we have been up twice to the guttering this summer to prune them back....:((
