Feeling better and starting to do some gardening again!

Well, after suffering from a bout of depression, partly brought about by events at work, I am getting into the gardening mood again. Tomorrow, I will be cutting the grass and making a thorough assessment of what has perished during the winter. It is a madhouse at the moment: the bathroom is finally getting done, block paving will be getting done in May and the decking could be done by the end of April as well! On top of that, my wife will be having an op on April 7th and will be off work for around 12 weeks when she comes out, I have 3 hernias at the moment, and am in training for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks walk in June, when we will be raising money for multiple sclerosis sufferers. I will be trying to get those Borneo photos from my mum so that they can be posted on here.
See you soon, and happy gardening!!

You have been through the wars....I do hope everything goes well with your wife's op and you manage with your training for the Three Peaks! Very ambitious with your 3 hernias.
You'll feel better as the milder weather creeps upon us and you can get out in the garden. I understand how difficult depression can affect your day to day life so I am pleased you are feeling so much better. Take care.

Pleased to hear you're in the gardening mood again, warmer, sunny days are on the way to lift your spirits! Be very careful with your training, hernias can be very troublesome, although I'm sure you know that already! Best wishes to your wife for her op. in April.

Thanks for all the lovely comments! I had a hernia a couple of years ago, but as I didn't want to miss my walk (The Lyke Wake Walk: 42 miles in 15hrs, my best time!), I waited until after the summer before I got it fixed.
It will be the same again this year.
