Time 00.09 Fri 16th Dec,
Have just been outside and the forecast snow has started
Our power has been off today for repairs to the “system” to make things better for the customers,
We have had the CH on fully blast since the power came back on at 16.15 and woodburner can’t take anymore logs
The generator is set up so if the weather becomes more inclement we are ready for it.
the freezer if full, there is a large leg of Pork in the fridge and 3 × 4pts of milk and a sour dough in the fridge ready to bake some lovely bread,
The exbatts have been giving us 6/7 eggs daily even 8 on Tues. will happily walk thro the snow tomorrow to feed the little darlings
All I can say is “HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A PEACEFUL NEW YEAR” to all my friends and contacts on grows on you Happy 2012 Grandmamoy

What an organised little girlie you are Grandmamoy. Your chickens are such lucky little exbatts having such an attentive owner. Its also snowing over here in Kent, I am not quite so organised as you so hoping it doesnt lay too much (unlike the exbatts!!) Happy Christmas to you and all your family

Well, my goodness! You've really battened down the hatches, Grandmamoy! Winter can throw all she likes at you, you're very well prepared, plenty of food, fuel and milk! And enough eggs to feed a street, bless them, lovely little ex batts! I hope you don't get too much snow, just enough to be festive will be fine! Happy Christmas to you too, Grandmamoy!
