Hi all
After I posted a question about the J parker company selling plants on the internet, they sent me plants that were either dead on arrival or near to death. Plus they didnt keep to there delivery times. I have finally, finally after god knows how many emails, finally recieved a £7.45 refund!!!!!!!!!!!! My plants cost a lot more than that!!!!!!
Guess I will just have to be grateful I got any kind of a refund. Neadless to say I will never, ever buy from them again.

I once bought £50 worth of Lilies from them and less than half survived.

Sounds exactly like the experiences i've had with them too :-(((

Also avoid gardenbargains.com I just never recieved my bedding plants and had to contact their call centre in Indian by phone at least 10 times and at least 20 emails. I did eventually get a cheque for the full amount but I am sure if I didn't nag at them I would have recieved nothing.

I too complained to Parkers and all they said was "give it time", well nearly 12 months later the plant I bought for my friend is just about surviving.
Very poor !

A very disappointing order from them last year but I did get 10 free trailing begonia corms with it. They gave an excellent display last year and a fabulous display this year (pic in my latest photos) so all was not in vain. I wouldn't order from them again though.

So thats where you got them from Lily,( theres a turn up for the book ! ) :0))

I think it is a good idea for members to let others know of bad experiences like those above.

Glad parkers got something right then Val.
I agree Mad and it's not the first time this company has been discussed negatively. :o((

Hi Mad this is exactly why I have told you all about J Parkers. Didn't want anyone else going through what I've been through with this company. Only a partial refund and dead plants for my faith in a company that I thought cared about plants!!!!. Mine looked so sorry for themselves. I even explained to them that the plants I ordered was for a memoral garden. They didn't care. Disgusting. Never again!!
thanks to everyone else for your comments. J parker take note!!

Hi Great, I have never purchased from Parker before but I purchased from Gardening Direct this year and bought 12 begonia corms and only two flowered !! I complained and got the reply 'that I should complain within seven days of my purchase to get a refund' !!!! What a laugh, Begonias need potting up and growing on in a warm place for at least three months before you even see a leaf peeping through, I wrote again and they ignored me, so that is another place to avoid !!!

Hi Grandmage. Gardening direct yep I know them to. never again is what I say!!!!! I ordered a fruit cage and a plastic bag thingy mayjig to put a compost bag in the bag had three sections. I was told I would recieve my order within 28 days. 30 days after (having emailed I think about 4 times to ask when I would recieve my order) I recieved my fruit cage it was dumped outside my house!!!!!. The note inside - yes inside the parcel said if out leave at a neighbours duh (Its not that hard is it!!!???) The money for the order was taken from my account 10 days after I ordered. I emailed to say I hadnt had the bag and it arrived some time, a long time after. No apology nothing. I even asked Ajay if we could black mark the company and he said no

I placed an order on Thursday for a Hoselock weed killer sprayer via Amazon and it arrived early Saturday morning. I know it's not plants/bulbs etc. but I am always impressed with Amazon.
I've not had an opportunity to order plants/seedlings or anything else yet online. I'm so new to gardening I will be relying on garden centres and such, as well as freebies from other friends to get a garden established. Comments noted though against the two suppliers mentioned...sorry for the bad experiences you've had.
