Halcyon it is then! I’ve also heard of using copper as well, but never tried it. Hearing about using urn type containers is good advice as well. Thank you to each of your responses.

Side note…we were married at the Bedford Hotel on 5th Feb! Tavistock is one of my favourite places…I can’t go there without finding wonderful plants in the market. Such a great place!

Hello Greylady ~
I think I missed welcoming you to GoY.
My excuse is getting side-tracked by my mischievous young puppy. I hope you enjoy the group.

Are you finding lots of differences between gardening in Tulsa and gardening in Devon. ?

Lucky you ~ living in the West Country. :o)

The main difference is the large amounts of rain. In Tulsa from about June on....things begin to dry up and there is very little rain, then you have to start watering. A lot of the plants are the same, and then there are some here that I've always loved but couldn't grow because it was too hot and dry during the summer.

I do love it here though. Couldn't have been a nicer place to come to. Devon is outstanding, and so far I'm very pleased with the group.
