Garden Show Decline

I took a chance and visited the Garden Show at Shepton Mallet this year, maybe they had got their act together and it would be an improvement on last year, well, not a bit of it, in fact it was worse….hardly anything to see this year, very few traders, hardly anything in the Food hall, no sign of a Marquee (there was always a big one there) it’s now in one of the sheds, 3 so called show gardens :-(. To be fair the traders that had turned up, were as ever good, but where exactly is this show going??? The National Dahlia Society had put on a great show of competion dahlias, and the giant veg competion had plenty of entries.
The weather was good so there were more than enough people visiting, but come on Bath and West showground, for goodness sake get your act together and get the show back to it’s good old self, where you could spend all day looking, this year it was a struggle to make it last 2 hours, and even though the entrance was reduced to £10 this was not good value for money

I remember you saying last year that the show had gone downhill, now this year aswell ..... it's going to become an event to miss, isn't it ?
Such a shame.
I think i remember Spritz saying that she was wondering whether to go or not - it's a good thing she didn't !
What a waste of time and money, especially for you where you've got quite a distance to travel :-(

Maybe even £10 is too much for some folk? Shame really.

That's a pity the Shepton Mallet Garden Show disappointed again ...

as Grandmage says ...
£10 is a lot to pay for not a lot to see .... :o(
