Please don't rain the whole weekend!

Hi everyone!
Yes It’s raining and I’ve got some more containers to plant up and some ‘tidying up’ to do and it’s just to heavy and very windy so here I am looking at all your lovely photos and catching up on your blogs!
Got a lovely purple neck warmer from Scotkat which I’ve yet to try out but lovely and warm and soft.
Also Jacque sent me some of her spider plant seeds so many thanks to her too.
Some of you have been hunting for white grape hyacinths which I mentioned I had recently planted. If you want me to get some I can – just message me and I’ll pop along to my favourite garden centre to see if any left! Any excuse to go there – always find some plant or pot I can’t live without!
Itching to start next project of border in front garden under my lounge window. Can’t tackle it yet because our downstairs windows are being replaced shortly (the man is running a month behind due to all our summer rain!). Obviously can’t replant with bulbs etc as he will tread all over the area. Has had annual bedding plants in that my father-in-law put in for me but now ready to try other things and aiming for cottage garden type planting. Hopefully will be done for half term in a fortnight so I can start then while I’m off. Tulip bulbs into pots then too so hoping for plenty of dry weather then even if getting colder.
Hope all going well in your gardens?

Gardening with friends since
1 Mar, 2008
While we've been in London, it has been blowing a gale down here and there must have been a lot of rain too. One of my American cousins is staying over for a few days and I shan't be able to get all the leaves swept up until Tuesday. I hate everything looking so untidy. Such a shame he won't see the garden at its best - there's still plenty of colour there, though.I haven't even started bulb-planting yet for obvious reasons...a lot to catch up with...
