Frogspawn.

What a lovely week , the weather being cold but suuny every day… all the bulbs busy coming to life…….the violets are now out and the birds are busy nosing round the garden…… i love the little wren, who pops all around my tubs looking for insects to eat……and the thrush a very welcome visitor as he eats all the horrible snails………whove been trying to eat my bulbs as they come through……. had a good go at my grape hiyacynths…..hope i spelt that right……………. our little pond has established well so i thought id like some frogspawn …. but after a walk up to our local pond not a bit in sight… only loads of ducks……….did they eat all the frogspawn?…………….or am i to early.i thought it would be nice to have frogs in the garden …… to add to the other wildlife.. that we have…………

Hi how nice for you to have frogs in your pond......id love some but our local pond seems to not have any.....i dont know anyone local with a garden pond ..... but i will keep looking....... every day i have a look in my pond in the hope that a frog may have wondered in on its own...............

HI HOLLYEVE JUST THOUGHT I SHOULD TELL YOU ABOUT MY FROGS ,I CALL THEM MY FROGS BECUASE THEYVE BEEN IN MY POND FOR 3 YEARS NOW AND SHOW NO SIGN OF MOVING ON .I HAVE OR SHOULD I SAY WE (2 KIDS) HAVE 6OR 7 .IN THE WINTER THEY DROP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE POND UNTIL SUNLIGHT RETURNS A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER AND THEN THEY MAKE A BEE LINE FOR MY COMPOST HEAP. THE GAFFER AS WE CALL HIM IS APURPLE RED COLOUR AS HE EATS MY DISCARDED BEETROOT AND REALLY LOOKS MEEN ,HE SEEMS TO STAND GAURD OVER THE REST OF HIS PALS AND EVEN WHEN ICOOL THE POND IN SUMMER WITH FRESH WATER HE SITS ON A STONE BANG IN THE MIDDLE AND WATCHES WITH NO INTENTION OF MOVING .JUST TO SAY THEYRE GREAT AND GIVE US GREAT SATISFACTION KNOWING THAT ALL THE SLUGS ARE GOING TO A GOOD CAUSE .LOL .ITS REALLY WORTH YOUREB WHILE TO GET SOME FROG SPAWN OR TADPOLES..
