It was a lovely day yesterday, i went for a walk with my son. daughter and Grandaughter… to our local woods……..It was a 25 min walk away….as i live right next to the beach i forget how lovely the countryside is…..
Round the edge of the wood is a lovely field of Rapeseed……. a sea of gold…. it was beautiful……….
There were lots of bluebells and Patches of lesser Celandine growing….
The sun shone up through the trees it was a lovely sight……
It was so beautiful………there were so many birds singing …. i closed my eyes and all you could here was the birds……….
oh how i love the Sussex countryside…………….

Hi hollyeves your photo's reminded me of our local woods, a little place called Sherwood Forest! isn't it funny how we are prepared to travel for miles to enjoy the things in your photos but totally forget what's on our doorstep.......Just got back from a little roll around the "forest" and do you know it is wonderful all glistening with fresh rain and it smelt lovely there a few patches of Bluebells and the like but I forgot my camera so you'll have to take my word for it.
Thanks for reminding me what I was missing, I feel totally refreshed and happy now.
As usual hugs and kisses all round....Ian

Hollyeves I didn't mis-spell roll it's how I get about these days, on a mobility scooter, Robin Hood wasn't about, I think he had some business with the sheriff...LOL. Mrs. Digs and I used to go there every couple of days before I became ill and we don't seem to have got in to the habit again but it's something I hope to change this summer........watch this space!
as always hugs and kisses.................Ian

Don't apologise sweety it's not something I talk about very often, I had a couple of small strokes earlier this year and lost the strength down my left side, not to worry in the words of the song 'always look on the bright side of life'. Mrs. Digs has been in a wheelchair about six years now (she's just turned 30) it's the price you pay for being drop dead gorgeous !!!!!! LOL
as usual hugs and kisses all round.........Ian
P.S. as for getting around, our scooters have large wheels for just that purpose and yes lets hope the sun shines forever.
So much for global warming!!!!!

I enjoyed the walk with you, hollyeves - thanks so much. Love the rape seed photos - they grow a lot of that in Cornwall, so happy memories for me.
