Sanbaz asked if i had a pic of my poinsettia which i had for 5 years or more. it grew so big and every year i repotted it to a bigger pot……. We gave it the nickname of Miss Plant…….. after my sons headmistress from years ago…….. sadly it got to big and a bit straggly so i put it outside ….. and didnt ever bring it in again…… it flowered every year when the days drew in………… found a couple of pics which were taken in my old house………… has anyone else had one grow this big………………

I have not been able to keep one over myself but there is a little cafe here in town that has a solarium type garden room for eating in..it is very different in that it has a space to the sides for planting into the earth against the wall...there have been poinsetta's climbing around in there around the wood stove for as long as I have been around...they are vine like and grow along the wall...I have always looked for them when ever I have gone in..next time I go there.....I will have to take my camera..it has been a long while..I hope they are still there. Could be a while so don't be holding your breath....

Mine kept going Hywel..........so i just kept repoting it every year......
your welcome Lincslass.....
Its my plant Mushybanna.... lol.............. they will keep indoors , but keep away from to much heat or the leaves will drop..... later in the year you can repot to a bigger pot......... to get the bracts... the red flowers , you have to reduce the daylight hours a bit each day .... i used to keep mine in the diningroom and so the light was not on all the time.. it liked it in there...... i dont think its suitable 4 the garden.... but you could put the pot out in the summer.....Holly
