More Weeds!
Before I go to do some work, a couple of pictures of more weeds – addition to my last blog!
These photo’s are a ‘spot-the-Selfheal’ pictures.
I am very fond of the ‘weed’ Selfheal (Prunella vulgaris) which is rampant in this garden, mainly because I let it flower and seed!
Here it is an edging to a small bed of English and French lavender and blends so well with the French lavender the flowers are almost indistinguishable.
Elsewhere it is a bit of a pest and takes over the shingle drive and the lawn/grass.
Another that has taken over the grass and creeps into the beds is (I think) Tormentil (Potentilla reptans) and is a devil to keep in check as the bubil roots are deep and wiry.

Making it easy for you, the Selfheal is at the front!
I recently saw the Selfheal for sale in a garden centre, priced at £2.95p a pot! Wish I could sell the thousands we have for a fraction of that – dreaming of the things I could do in the garden with the money!

I love to see self heal. I let it spread all about the garden. It's very pretty. I'm glad you like it too :o)
