Four acres of dahlias.

Last year I wrote a blog about the Ayletts Nurseries, Hertfordshire dahlia trial fields and this year I visited them again and took lots of pictures. In each case I have shown the name, then a general view of the bed and then a close up of the dahlia. Again there was an enormous selection and I have shown only a fraction of those on show. The most bee-friendly dahlia was Murillo which was smothered in bees. So here we go. Which is your favourite?

No gonna pick one, unfair...love the doubles (always) but a few of those singles are just gorgeous! You made me wanna phone my parents home and make sure they send me a few bulbs!! Thanks for the gift and reminder. LT

Such a lot, I couldn't choose a fav lol ... But I really did like Bracken Ballerina and Carolina Moon very much.

Chimborazo and Bracken Ballerina are my faves from your selection - but I personally love Bishop of Llandaff - such colour and grace and wonderful bronze foliage. Glad you had a lovely day.
