No Ball Games 4 Summer :(

Sorry to hear Summer's not very well and I wondered if you use the health supplement company in Guernsy called " healthspan", I've used them for quite a while and they do a range of supplements for dogs-- such a glucosamine etc., if you want to take a look put 'healthspan' into google, hope she's feeling better soon, maybe now its warming up a bit we'll all feel a bit brighter :O)

Sorry to hear poor Summer is not well Jacque. My old dog Dylan is 12 and has arthritis in his back legs. I give him Glucosamine with Condroitin and cod liver oil capsules, and lots of love if course...:o). Hope the warmer weather (when it comes) perks her up.....xx

Jacque I `ve given a like for the photo`s of Summer, I`m sorry to hear she is suffering poor thing, have you hidden all her toys bless her because our pets still like to play even when unwell, I can picture Malik rolling the ball with his nose that last morning even when he couldn`t stand. Does she suffer with infection on her lungs ?..

Thanx TT X Hi Linc this is Summer 5th Lung Infection in the 9 yrs iv had her :( She has Smoke Inhalation Damaged Lungs which makes her very prone to Lung Infections when the Weather is Wet/Damp/Cold :( Luckly iv always seen the Signs in time & shes recoverd well from them :)

James Wellbeloved senior dog food has Glucosamine and Condroitin added to it so it makes it easy to give regularly.

Aww..poor Summer, arthritis can be managed with supplements and pain relief. One of our dogs responded well to treatment and regained the old spring in her step for a good few years afterwards, the warmer weather often helps too. I hope her lung infection clears up and soon she`ll be back to her normal, happy self. :o)

Lets hope she`s better soon, its good you recognize the symptons, those tablets are good for easing arthritis and inflamed joints I`ve been taking them for a number of years, recommended by my Doc....I swear we suffer along with them like our kids....

if it does get bad ask the vet to give you a prescription for Metacam and buy it for half the price online.It made Merlin much more comfortable when he became arthritic in his back legs.
You can also try Flexi joints from VetVits, a mix of Glucosamine,Chondroitin and Vit C on top of your normal food.

Sorry to hear about her arthritis but try her on Rhus Tox homeopathic tablets they work for me

Ahhh....Poor Summer, its so hard to make dogs rest, after all, they do look
forward to their walkies...i suppose you will have to keep Summer on the lead
until her leg gets stronger Jacque? Its true though, as soon as the nice
weather arrives, which it will do shortly..she will soon recover quickly!!!

Summer is the prettiest German Shepherd I have seen. You are getting some good advice from Goyers on Care of poorly doggies.......not just for gardening. If we get some warmer weather that might help too Jacque.

Hi all what a Great lot u all r ur so caring & helpful im lucky to have so many Fab Friends X Summers Cough has settled so much over wked im glad 2 say but her limp is same :( Shes very perky & wants 2 run about but im makeing sure she dont by telling her to "Slow Down" If i think shes walking to fast & shes such a good girl she does what her Mum tells her by slowing down:D Iv Purchased a bag of Wainwrights & gradguly changing her for Waggs dry food to Wains as its for Dog with Arthrit & im sure itl help as its got Glocosamine ect in 2 improve her Jopints :)Also got her sum Doggy treats which r good 4 Joints :) Summer z many thanx 4 all the hugs/tickles& caring words xxxxx

Jacque I'm sorry Summer isn't well , Our old dog Barney had Arthritis in his back legs , I'm sure you will find out which treatments work best you've had a lot of experience with your pets this last year , you could almost become a Veterinary nurse you take such care of them , she is such a beautiful dog . , I hope she will be feeling better soon x
