Operation rescue lawn πŸ˜€

Well, the lawn roller arrived. Was a bit bigger then expected but Tim did say he wanted a big old fashioned one. Think it was a case of be careful of what you wish for and thought he may end up in A&E using it but managed to flatten the worse of the trenches that the dogs had put in garden today, added top soil and grass seed so fingers cross I will have more grass then mud pit soon. Took a photo of boys sitting next to roller just to give an idea of the size of the blinking thing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

My OH acquired an old one, like your husband, Jen. He has ambitions, soon, of levelling off the grass we inherited. I suspect he'll need to be a weightlifter to use it! To me it's just another nuisance to fall over in the garage. (Not an inch of space in there for a car!). I shall be interested to see the outcome of your efforts. Handsome dogs you have. They look innocent and blameless!

Crikey Jen! That’s some roller 😁 it’s a big old one indeed! Poor Tim...bet he was shattered! Agree, very rewarding, but, exhausting!
The boys look very happy to pose for their pic don’t they!

Oh that is a big roller, would not fancy lugging that around, our old concrete one was heavy enough but that looks impossible...

Oh Angel, hubby did finally admit that maybe it was a bit bigger then thought it would beπŸ˜‚, but it did flatten out most the bumps. But he did have a nap after. πŸ˜‚ Saying it's the boys fault, mainly it's Ringo Rat (the bigger one on left) he is still so much a puppy and has to do everything at a run and then skids to a holt, tearing up the grass as he goes.

Paul, bless him, it was hard work, poor Tim a bit shattered tonight.

Mossy, agree, old fashioned is better then most new things but it ended up a lot better and heavier then expected lol

Paul, that why Tim kept saying he wanted an old fashioned one rather then a new one, everyone I showed him online, he said no lol.

Lincslass. Lol, it is a lump of a thing. No way could I use it. Tim did cut the loop off the top and said made it easier to move but he did look a bit worse for wear after πŸ˜‚

Haha, now you'll soon be having to aireate the lawn, lol...
Do make Tim be careful not to overdo it though. Perhaps you should harness up the dogs and make them do the hard work since it was them that made it necessary...

Yorkslass, we survived the roller. I wasn't allowed anywhere near in. Just spreading the grass seed. Only managed the worse bits and the dogs banned from back garden till the grass has grown lol.
If I could have got away with the boys pulling the roller, I would have lol.

Haha Shirlay, he is feel a bit sore the next day but lawn was so much better and grass seed starting to sprout so fingers crossed I will soon have a lawn again 😁. Now just have the problem of where to store it now. Did suggest to Tim that could hang hanging baskets on each side of handle πŸ˜‚

Jen, I bet I know his reaction to that idea! :o)
