Each garden is different. Each garden has different colours every season and every day. Like mine.
As you see, leaves are still holding on :))

Gorgeous Autumn colours. That's one thing you won't see if you ever come to the tropics down here.

You have colours all year round, Bernie, lol.

You can see here from the left to the right:
Globe cedar "Danica" - it has perfect globe and compact shape without need for pruning. Drought resistant.
Cornus sanguinea "Winter Flame" is a spectacular shrub in all seasons, changing colours of leaves and at the end, after they all fall, it reveals its orange, yellow and red stems - all on the one shrub. Drought resistant.
Behind Cornus is Berberis thunbergii Ottawensis, it is one of the highest sorts of Berberis, in my case it forms fence. It has larger leaves then usual sorts and grows annually about 40 cm. As it has the most beautiful colours on the full sun and my garden is sunny, it adds to the colours, too. On the very right side of this group grows columnar Ulmus wredei Golden Elm, which has spectacular foliage, which is very dense and with all golden and green shades. This one wasa problem at the beginning, as it likes humid sil, but coloration is best on the full sun. It has 5 years already, so I hope, the worst is behind it. :))
And there are some grasses dispersed among shrubs and trees and in the summer there grows yellow and red Achillea and sage. Sage is consumed now, lol.

Dwyllis@last three photos are of the same shrub. It is Spirea Goldflame. I have several sorts of Spirea, this one is the most spectacular little shrub in spring and autumn. And requires just one brutal pruning in the spring.

It is not very good to be too much colourful. I avoid merry-go-round colours in the garden, so I also have 2/3 of the garden green, but there are few colourful spots in the green. We need to relax in that space, right? :))

I agree with you Terra:-) its very beautiful! Hope to see this in the future. We, don' t even have this kind of changes, What we had here is, if super typhoon come in our area the leaves automatically turn into dark green and most frequently not survived :=(
