Two white peacocks.

I found a place where there live white peacocks.

They inspired also the local artist..

Interestingly, I just read, that peacocks were used to be painted among animals present at the Jesus birth in Bethlehem.
It was believed, that their blood kills the demons – probably because soup from peacocks was considered to be invigorating after severe illnesses.

Steragram, I think we have here restaurant where they serve dishes like this. I just think, that soup would be very expensive :)))

There used to be a couple of white peacocks in a garden on the edge of the canal not far from here. I think they look quite other-worldly.

You are right Stickitoffee his first book I believe. We stayed in a house in Mexico where he wrote a "Plumed Serpent" (Quetzalcoatl) It is a B&B now. As the matter of fact we are going to stay just a few miles away starting next month. Arizona is sunny but not warm enough in winter.

I am sorry to dissappoint you, ladies, but I never read that book, e.g. the headline is this time pure mine, lol.
But I know that the KIng of UAE owns hundreds of them and we saw some of them when we had a trip to his palace.

I have a friend nearby who has several white peacocks. He doesn't make soup from them lol. He keeps them as pets.

Dwylis@These are kept just for their beauty, too, and I am sure the only thing which is taken (stolen) from them is their tail feather. White peacocks are also rare here.

I haven't read the book either!

Ah, that calmed me down, Sticki, lol.

Beautiful birds. Friends who run a cattery also keep peacocks both white and coloured and they are all equally noisy!

:-)

Gee19@I don´t know, these were quiet. I spent some hour with them several times this week and no, they didn´t do any noises. Might be, they felt very cold for singing?

9 Dec, 2012

good point kat, i wouldnt feel like singing at -13, most people allegedly sing in the bath or the shower so maybe we need to be warm to sing?

There were some little peachicks at the cattery earlier this year. I did have a little cuddle with them - I must see if I can find the photos :)

I don`t recall ever seeing a white peacock, I think I`d be quite excited if I did, lol...

Peachicks - sounds cute :)) Is it name for small peacocks? Never heard this word, funny.
