One holidays passed and the new one is coming. I do not know how it is in the UK, but here in Slovakia gingerbreads are traditional cakes and decoration in one used not only in Christmas, but also during Easter Holidays.
Some time ago I wrote here, that we have European champion in making decorated gingerbreads. She is woman and is making beautiful edible treasures.

First ones remind me of fine Porcelain must take many hours to produce,not sure how the portraits are achieved.they look to be painted.

Bjs@yes, Leonardo ´s pictures are painted. Paulthegarden@they are normally for sale, one piece costs around 2 euros.
