one pain in the bum teenager, eats, stares and mumbles “oh my god like”a hundred times an hr,hates everything, has nothing so will travel light, must be kept in skinny jeans and t shirts so as not to look out of place, because she has no friends and hates everyone, and must have the bathroom for two hrs every morning and plenty of hot water,oh and a dryer to dry her socks in for an hour or so,lives on super noodles only, please do not feed vegtables as this may offend said teenager as may be seen as possibly trying to poison her, must have the internet 24hrs a day so as to speak to non existant friends, only uses most expensive products as again she has nothing,a child is for life not just christmas, can you see yourself wanting this child, doesnt talk a lot so is not noisy(except for loud music)this will be clamped to her head via i.pod or mobile(will need topping up frequently)as she has no one to talk to realy as HAS NO FRIENDS,needs to be kept warm so needs central heating on all day, needs own room with blinds and curtains to keep out light(not used to it) if i have hit your gentle hearts please get in touch,i can have her shipped to you in one day(the lizard goes with her)so needs a big room(also 30/40 fluffy toys)thankyou christine

OMG,how I remember one who lived at my house, who was exactly the same !! Finally got rid,by the age of 21,to 'have her own space '!..even though she stayed in her own space for a number of years,in her room...What an eye opener for her, that was !..but,she stuck it out, learnt how to budget,,sort of,..and always paid her rent and bills..but lived for today, and forgot tomorrow..Lol.11 years later, she is has turned into a responsible, well balanced human being, with a wonderful partner and baby..and guess what? she is actually starting to sound just like I was! ..it must have sunk in,somewhere along the line ..so,
Christine,..one day it will happen, and you will remember the teenage days with a smile, and fond memories..not for a while yet though,so just grit your teeth, and be brave, she will get there, eventually, You are not alone.. .:o))))))))))
By the way,my parents despaired of me too,so I guess we all had our moments..

Oh Dear Christine - sound like you are having a taxing time at home - I went through this with my son and I used to say to myself " this isn't my son. He eventually got over it though and is now back to the kind, loving and considerate person he always used to be. I think it's called "Growing up". I suppose my mum and dad felt the same when I was a teenager !

Believe me, it will pass - just hang on in there.

At least you can take some consolation from your gardening.

I had 4 of these difficult creatures a long time ago and now they have all turned into lovely decent parents themselves. The eldest is now having to contend with one of her own, aged 14 so what goes around comes around as they say! Good luck Christine, just grin and bear it! :o)

I would not pay for one like that sorry your on your own. lol. I wouldn't even contemplate buy one get one free sorry guys. But I will tell you this, when the last one leaves home your life will be totally different and I promise you - you will miss them even the stroppy one.

Lol....Been there....done that.....you poor soul......

Well, I sympathise, but I wonder why mine never did all that?? Maybe because they were immersed in a sport they loved from the age of 11 through their teenage years and had the full support of me and my now ex at the time? Or was I just lucky? One of my daughters is in a relationship with a very nice man who has three "Kevins" and they are - as you say - a different species. Why do they have to live in the dark? Why do jeans have to be worn so low slung that they threaten to fall off? As the "Kevins" are always hitching them up - why not wear them so they don't fall down? Is that too much for their tiny brains to fathom? These and other irritants occur regularly then they go and phase you completely by suddenly acting all human and saying things like "Your chocolate cake is awesome. Could I please have another piece?" and "For an older person you're really quite cool." I have hope for the little dears yet!!!!!! ;o)
