now that the sun is comeing out(all down to me by the way)ive been reading all your blogs and everyone is buying plants except me,well little plants not big ones, little ones dont count, like calories lol.
so ive been digging and weeding and takeing out what the winter has killed, only managed to save two fuchias which was a shame and my laveteria had to come out too,so ive invested in some roses(again)all my others are climbers which i love,so ive got three new ones,a floribunda called chinatown, yellow, sweetly scented, iceburg which is white and peace, yellow and pink a hybrid tea rose, all scented,as i say whats the use of getting a rose if theres no scent, what i would like to know tho is whats a hybrid and whats a floribunda, and i loved some photos of magnolia trees and bought a little one for two pounds on sunday at the car boot,i was told its called alba,is there one called this as they were not sure, chris

How wonderful you getting roses I always swear they are the best for displaying the longest if dead headed.

You've purchased some lovely roses and they will be a great addition to your garden. I hope the magnolia turns out to be a perfect size for your garden...they are so pretty.
