b&m compost

So is a well known DIY stores, I dont blame you for using strong words. I nearly took it back I was so cross.
I have been using New Horizon 3 x 50lt £8 much better.

I bought some from B&M recently and it's been fine. The one I bought was in a green bag though

I've been using local suppliers' compost and noticed that not only did it smell strongly of ammonia when damp, there have been hundreds of little flies hatching from it. Some sowings have failed to germinate at all, which means all my expensively bought and posted seed has been wasted. Really not worth taking back, but they've lost my custom from here on in! How is one supposed to know? It certainly wasn't cheap!

B&M is a northern chain Grandmage, I first encountered it on a trip to Blackpool,its recently moved to our midland towns. Ours is in the old "Woolies" store,you can pick up some real bargins in there, you can get EVERYTHING but not all the tlme,I think its what they can pick up at the right price.Always queues in our high street and a welcome addition when an old favorite went bust........... instead of yet ANOTHER charity shop in our small town center!

Never heard of that shop. There's none around here. Sorry to hear sbout their poor quality compost. I would keep away from there.

its a great shop with lots of really good items at good prices ,from food to household items etc and usually of really good quality .
i would take it back as i,m sure they would not be happy about selling an inferior item.

ive taken it back and got the green bags,which are better,love b&m they have lovely bargains,was very surpised to get a bum deal,chris
