Hello all,its been a while but lots happening in my life,my mum died 9th march here one day gone the next not expected at all,two weeks later dad fell ill and seemed to give up, after 60yrs together and stopped eating,I of course was worried to death i would lose both parents in a short time.So dads been in hospital since mum went and has just been released on the 10th june after he developed sepsis and lost a leg,had three heart attacks and a small stroke,I decided to move in with dad and be his carer which sometimes he doesnt quite like but its getting better.
My biggest regret is ive lost my garden but i will be starting again in dads so expect lots of pictures and will probably need lots of suggestions on a disabled garden as dad misses growing his veg and i have not a clue as i love flowers, luckily ive kept every seed from my old garden so can start again,so wish me luck and give lots of advice, chris

You’ve had such a sad, upsetting time recently. I’m sure your Dad is so happy to have you with him! I can only imagine what the both of you are going through.
Best wishes to you both and better health. I hope the garden helps with your Dad’s recovery and it’ll hopefully be therapeutic for you both.

What an awful time you have had, it must be traumatic for your Dad after all that time they were together, let alone the aftermath. Difficult as it is to move back in with a parent I hope it works out for you and he takes an interest in the garden again, nothing like watching things grow to cheer you up. Best of luck to you both.

I'm sorry to hear of all you've had to go through. It must be very stressful for you.
I hope you can get some help with looking after your dad and I hope he improves with time.
Make the most of your new garden, I am a full time carer myself and the garden is my saviour.

Ladybug I am so sorry to read your news, I applaud you for moving in with your dad, cannot have been an easy decision and I sincerely hope it works out for both of you, he has certainly been through a lot, well you both have, onwards and upwards now, hopefully it will give him an interest seeing you working in his garden, no doubt he'll soon put you on track with the veggies and you will enjoy growing your flowers again, a new start for you both in a way.. Giving you a like with Best Wishes for both of you..xx.
