For the love of irises part 4

As I have started talking about bearded irises, I had better start with the smallest which are also the earlist to flower.

Green Spot is my smallest, stand at only 10 inches.

This one is really different and refreshing a very good start to the flowering season.

The next standard dwarf is Cherry Garden standing at 15 inches.

Very dark and mysterious, a good contrast to the paler ones.

Next Chanted is my last standard dwarf bearded, At 14 inches in my garden. This one really knocks my socks off, a wonderful colour combination.

Lemon pop starts off the Intermediates, at 16 inches and a very sunny countenance.

Raspberry blush is a wonderful plant, to see it bloom on a cold spring day lifts your spirits. 20 inches which makes it an intermediate.

Abbey Chant is an itermediate standing at 25 inches, lovely this one. Glorious colour bright and cheerful and a rebloomer , which is a desirable attribute in an iris.

These are all the smaller ones I have at present, I hope to acquire more as they take up little space and give you loads of flower power.

Lovely blog lemon dog. I love irises and the raspberry blush I bought last year was anything but, it was yellow and blue but I cant remember where I got it from.

Yes Meanie it is special, I bought it because I love all things green and promptly fell it love with it. Being small means it flowers before the taller ones and so it is not over shadowed. Happy gardening New Year. Ld
