Robin Redbreast

Every time I fill up the bird feeders, I have an audience, Robin Redbreast, I do not know it’s gender, there are two but I cannot tell them apart yet.
This one time he could not wait for me to finish the refilling and as I turned to get my camera he started helping himself.
Then he flew down under a shrub next to me and came up with his beak full of nest material, that is a sign that spring is round the corner.
Even if I am having a lousy day, my meet with Robin Redbreast fills my heart with joy.

Wow he's got ideas hasn't he and no time to waste waiting around for you, surely its an impatient male, gotta fill ones belly before tackling the other major operations, I reckon he knows its nearly St Valentines and his lady is spurring him on, lol, they are wonderful photo's......

How lovely - and really good pictures - I have a robin that comes on the feeders - but it is the blackbird that sits and stares at the kitchen window to catch my eye when the sultana dish is empty - Jane

I have several robins come every day. They know exactly when to come, and even sit on my head and arm while I am filling

There's nothing like it, is there. Haven't yet had one sit on my arms or head, but they're happy to sit a couple of inches away while I'm filling feeders or working in the garden. It makes my day! :D

I was in the greenhouse the other day tidying or trying to, when I picked up a large pot which was on it's side and out peered a frog, I was just apologising to it, turned round and robin was just outside and then hopped over the entrance towards me, that was a magical moment.

Lovely photos Ld , we have an identical pair they know exactly what time I'm going out to feed them they hop straight onto the feeding station before I reach it , we're sure to have young robin families following in their foot steps in the spring ;o))
