For the love of Irises part two

Last year was my first time I had encountered Iris Juno. It was for sale as a bulb in my local garden nursery and at a pleasing price, considering that I did not know I would suceed with it. I potted it up and left it in my unheated green house all winter with the rest of my potted bulbs.
I looked it up on the net and was amazed at what I could expect to see. In due course it began to flower, and flower and flower. What a wonderful bulb, I have only the one bulb and hope to acquire more as I come across them.
I suppose I should now talk about reticula, a firm favourite for some people and it still is for me. I have lots of different ones over the years and there always seem to be new ones every year.
Their colour and form when nothing else is flowering is priceless and it cheers me to know the this is the first of many bulbs to flower in the new year. I real tonic.I have bought some new ones again this year, Pixie from J Parker bulbs, somethig new to look forward to.

Beautiful! All of them. I purchased a decent sized pot of I. Juno in flower last sprin in B&Q. Might be worth a look come springtime.

they are lovely. Reticulatas are really special. I've not managed to keep them so far so this year lifted them and kept them dry over the summer and am hoping to see them popping up before long, fingers crossed.
Juno is amazing - all those flowers from one bulb??
