Well I only went away for a few days leaving my daughter to look after her father. They broke the cooker element -burned out – sandwiches for lunch .and then she dug up all my pink fir apple potatoes that were planted as main crop leaving all the bags of new potatoes untouched. The wind blew down the screen fencing my husband had slaved over for months. The dogs are not eating but there are posies of my prize blue umbelliferous bulbs everywhere Never mind I was swimming in the sea in Southern Spain at 8.30 last evening. The beach was crowded and the sun still beating down. You can buy potatoes anywhere

Oh,dear,it's bad enough coming home after a lovely holiday, but sorry,I had to smile too...why does it always happen when we aren't there?.The first time we left our daughter and her friend, for a weekend to the Edinburgh Tattoo,we came back to a note on the dining room door, saying"sorry,it was an accident" On movng on to the lounge, with thumping heart, another note" its ok,we are getting someone to fix it tomorrow,me and Lauren will pay for it " There was the coffee table with the glass top broken in half.Another note on said table."Been ringing lots of Double Glazing firms up,but they don't do coffee tables"!! We just laughed so much, and never did find out what happened....A bottle of cheap plonk,we presumed.Lol
