hampton court flower show

Well here I am back again like a bad penny. Went to Hampton Court flower show on Sunday. Why do we do it? Traffic queues miles long to get in Boiling hot day but on Sunday they sell off the plants. Which ones to choose? Nine plastic bags filled with triffids climbing out at all angles, making your way though the crowds on to the banks waiting for the ferries. Then fighting ones way back to the correct car park, with all our buys. I bought long ones, short ones, blue ones , violet ones. Cannot recall any names beside callas. Hope they all take and like our weather. The peanut plants are doing well and I must seriously look to cropping some potatoes. I am off to Spain for a few days too. See how my freesias are doing. I must bring some bulbs back .

lp it doesn't sound like the kind of thing I would have done in that hot weather.
You must be a really intrepid plant buyer. Yes I hope they all take too, you suffered for them! Now off to Spain! You sound like those Victorian plant collectors.
