Can anyone out there help me out in naming this beautiful shrub. It has a maroon coloured leaf which feels quite thick and firm. It has a crinkly look around the edge. I saw this little shrub in Morrisons carpark gardens, and ‘’Just borrowed a sample’’ to see if I could get a few cuttings to root. Does anyone know if this would be possible this time of year. If I dont succeed I would like to buy one as it was such a beautiful looking compact shrub, so am hoping someone will be able to name it for me……Keeping everything crossed

My neighbour has some in the front South facing garden ... they're lovely now after about 5 years ... look almost black some days ... depending on the daylight!

lovely shrub-- I'd have a go at propagating it-- I'd try all ways with as much material as possible -- keep gently warm out of the sun-and hope for the best

This is a great little shrub. I used to have it when I lived in the old cottage. You'll be very pleased with it I think :o)

That's lovely, Lin. They just need some coddling when it gets really cold.

It's Pittosporum 'Tom Thumb'. Gets to about three feet and wants a good sunny position in soil that doesn't get waterlogged but doesn't dry out completely either
