Very well run show. Last years issues dealt with.
Roads very clear!
Toilets – plenty , no queues
Ground conditions in marquees – temp flooring throughout
Bridges – robust and solid
Staff – what friendly and helpful people – a pleasure to interact with.
prices – RHS you are having a laugh!! £2.50 for tea. Having paid to get in I wouldn’t expect to pay top prices for everything!
Show gardens – some good, some a waste of the earths resources
long borders – great full of ideas to go.
Orchid display in main conservatory – mind blowing!!
RHS/Gardeners world garden to should how to cope with pests and diseases – spent along time hear – enjoyed, educational – OK
Bee keeping stand – a high standard and very interesting – learnt a lot (about bees)
Trade – two stands for me Hotcomposting, iragatia – will be buying first, second bought

Sounds like a great day out. I'd have been tempted to go when we lived in Sheffield but alas its too far away now.
Hot cmposting sounds interesting - do let us know how you get on with it.

Always good to read of other experiences at the shows. You only get a snapshot on the Gardening programmes and most comments elsewhere are negative as it's only people who are unhappy that make the effort! Of course once you are a captive crowd prices can be whatever they like as you have no alternative - unless you take your own food and drink. Browsing around the stands is always interesting, some things which are useful and some which are just gimmicky, but good to look, as for the high end clothing stands, a bit out of place in some cases at a gardening show.

What a lovely show of Orchids . Shame they hike prices up once your inside when you ve already paid entrance fee especially for a cup of tea it s not encouraging I don't think for least well off or pensioners to visit and encouraging those gardeners who love to explore and see other ways of planting or ideas it seems it is all aimed at the well to do which is sad . I hope you you enjoyed your self despite the cost in side.
