I Have A Joke For You....

Every Thursday morning I do volunteer work at a local nursing home where I bring one of my pomerainians along to cheer the folks up who reside there. While there, I never fail to cross paths with one of the clergy who also visits and before we part he always leaves me with a funny little joke which is sorely needed sometimes in such a place. Today I decided to leave him with one and said…..” I have a joke for you today….It’s Spring!” Yes,this is the coldest spring with the worst snowy/ rainy weather in my recent memory. One or two days of warmth in the garden and then it’s back to winter again. Well, some signs of spring have appeared so I quickly took some photos before they got frozen out or blown away……
I went to the GC over the weekend and purchased a few fuschias. Perhaps this weekend I can repot them into their forever home so to speak…..weather permitting of course.
Almost forgot… here are two of my buddies who go with me on my visits to the senior care home…..
Emma…..
And Sadie…..

This reminds me of Mozart's piece ' A musical joke.' I
play it, still cant see the joke.

The translation of “spass” was a bit off Diane. “Spass” properly translated means “fun”. Ein is “a” but “einige” translated means “ fun”. So for me it’s “ einige musikalischer spass” ...some musical fun .....that one can understand. To understand my blog you would have to be outside with me as I was a few minutes ago in 32 f temperatures with sleet coming down on my head.

funnily enough I guessed what your joke was going to be. now today it has been so much better. I'm up in the far north of Northumberland and it was 18c outside and 15c in the boat club house. sadly the midges have also realised it is spring and they are out in force now the wind has dropped.
Hope it gets better soon for all of us struggling with the weather.

Beautiful day as was yesterday, weather-wise. Need to water plants which will be my job now I guess. Leaves are emerging and opening speedily as are flower buds. Plants are resilient, I must say.
Love your two little ladies. Bet the Nursing Home residents enjoy your visits

Emma and Sadie are cute, such sweet faces they both have, I bet they are proper lapdogs and enjoy visiting the home, happiness for the residents and cuddles and treats for them.
We have had a great week as regards the weather L'strife, after two weeks of continuous rain and very misty days full of drizzle, it treated us kindly by going from one extreme to the other, in fact it became too hot to work outside yesterday, that helped actually as I was able to catch up indoors, lol...Spring has definitely sprung in my garden and its very colourful after what seemed a long winter..

From nasty mucky weather straight to heatwave, how weird is that!
It seems like overnight so much has burst into bloom, the cherry tree, the rhodo's, magnolia, clematis, pieris, camelia & more .... & so welcome too.

It certainly been a hard winter. Fingers crossed spring has arrived over here. This week we are due some fairly warm weather. Really hope it arrives soon for you. Love your 2 buddies. Must be lovely for the residents of the nursing home to get visits from them. Back in Kent I used to take Ben, my older German Shepherd into the nursing home my mother in law was in. The residents would save some of their biscuits to give him lol. Not too good for him but gave them pleasure ?
