My Ornamental Cherry Tree....

While doing my spring garden cleanup yesterday I noticed that it was starting to go into flower. One solitary Bumble Bee was working on those few flowers that had just opened. Ho-Hum – I thought to myself …another year of an eclectic bunch of pollinators: bumble bees, wasps, flies, etc. Continuing my cleanup this day I noted that the tree was going into a heavy flowering and around it was a cloud of honeybees, yes, a cloud of honeybees. This sight I had not seen in many years. I do hope that they have developed a resistance to whatever was killing them off and are now making a comeback

Excellent! The best gardens are the ones that are buzzing☺
I'm looking forward to my orange 'pom-pom' flowered buddleias being covered in (no expert) buff tailed bees.

That is so good to hear L'strife, for quite a number of years we have had no wasps, ladybirds, very few butterflies, nor any signs of ants in the ground, this spring we have already seen lots of ladybirds, greenfly on some of the roses, which obviously are being left alone for them to feed on, already a number of butterflies and this week we have seen some wasps and bees even though it has turned colder, I think things are looking up for us, I never ever thought I would be pleased to see the return of the wasps..

Good news, definitely. We used to have lots of honey bees around but not many now. Quite a few bumble bees, though.
Many butterflies out this week and birds feeding their young. It's SPRING!!

Could bee [sorry had to do that], and the nicotinoid based pesticides have now been banned by, love or loath, the EU so may help in long run
