A Sunny Thursday Morning.

In the months of light and bright mornings i’ll spend an hour or so outside from 5.30 am onwards just looking around at what’s been happening out there in the last 24 hours !!!
This morning i’ve taken the camera out and you can see some of the things that i saw !
This shows just how quickly the Clematis that i planted three weeks ago has established, you can see that it’s climbing up the obelisk and now reaches over 2’ high.
I planted an Impomoea (Shiva) there too for some immediate colour.
This is a large pot which holds 4 Heuchera, 2 Crimson Curls and 2 Marmalade, the pot’s about 2.5 feet in diameter
This shows my Sedum mat 2.5 years on
This is Clematis ‘The Princess of Wales starting to unfurl, she looks gorgeous when she’s fully open
This is the Impomeoa, it’s white with pale pink stripes
This is Lavandula ‘Blue Cushion’, it only reaches 12" but spreads 18", it’s just about to open its gorgeous flowers here
This is Geranium ’Midnight Reiter, in my rock garden, the leaves look just like the Sambucus leaves, with a lovely blue/purple flower.
It gives me a really good start to the day seeing how the garden’s developing each new morning.
Enjoy the day

Louise no better way to start the day, it is the first thing I do (not at 5.30) is to go around the garden to see what is flowering.

Very enjoyable blog. Great photos. I'm not quite such an early starter as you, but I like to take a stroll round before breakfast, just to see what's growing and going.
