RHS Wisley, July '09 (Part 2)

Love the pics hope you enjoyed your day out. very pretty flower in the last picture, sorry rubbish on names but hope to learn more of them as I go along.

Bj ..... i bought an Alpine (Clematis mormaria), a Phlox (adsurgens), 2 Dahlias ('Renoir' and 'Arts Fair') and Clematis 'Ville de Lyon' !!!!!

Jacque, we walked from 10.00 - 4.30 (only saw 3/4 of the place then!) .... had about 40 minutes sit down when we had our picnic but other than that .... on our feet constantly.
If you were to spread the visit over 2 days it would be ideal, in my opinion, i've never done that though !

Grannysue....... i'm having a senior moment and can't for the life of me remember the name/word for that last plant .... please help me out someone !!! (very worrying to be having these moments in my 40s!)

Looks like you had a good day at Wisley Louise. I love to go there as often as I can, and Hyde Hall too. Like the stone sinks with the sempervivums. Mine don't look like that. Must give them a makeover. Weather looked good .Hope you enjoyed yourself.

Thanks Bjs I have written the name down and will look in garden centre. Louise I have senior moments on a daily basis which is most annoying Grrr!! LOL

Dorjac, do you live close to Wisley then ? I really would be there monthly i'm sure if i lived close !

I love Wisley... when I go to Rosemoor, I love that as well! LOL.

Super....those long borders are similar to some at Harlow Carr....The bark on the prunus is gorgeous.....you had lovely weather too...
