toad in a pot

Look who we found
If you look close in the pot you can see Mr Toad!
I spent a lovely morning in the sunshine picking these beautiful sweetpeas, a gift to a friend who has broken her foot.
And then……whilst my back was turned Slugs gets a little too close to the pond! I am now going to make a huge effort to puppy proof the whole area because as I have fishing line for heron proofing I feel it’s a little dangerous for a young pup to become tangled up in.
I spent a few hours today in two lovely gardens nearby, planting up in one with gauras and chocca cosmos and heuchera and pulling out weed from a huge pond in the other. Now back at home and about to pick fresh peas and carrots and cabbage.
How good IS life!!

What a lovely gift to be taking, not only beautiful to look at but a great perfume as well. Love the pic of your little dog he looks as if he`s found something of interest in the pond.
