Sorry to hear you are under the weather, it does make a difference to see things progressing in ones garden and can make you feel better in yourself even if its through the eye of a camera, hoping you are back to full strengh soon, take care...

Sorry to hear you've not been well. I hope you're on the mend now :o) I'm glad your garden cheered you up. They have that effect don't they.

You're right there Hywel, they do have a good effect. When I've had a s****y day at work, I have a nice stroll round the garden, make a cuppa and just sit there relaxing. It's great.

Watch over that Indian Bean Tree...they grow really fast and can get enormous! We have to pollard ours every year or it covers too much of the garden!
Perhaps this is the time to do little and just enjoy your garden...Hope you're feeling better soon...

Thanks for the advice Karen,I was so pleased to finally identify it, its only been almost 3 yrs since we moved in..:) although I think our cold climate restricts it somewhat but it does seems to have shot up this year..

Lovely to see the Indian bean tree in flower - never seen the flowers before, only the beans.

I know its a bit late in the day....but might still be relevant.
I had a bean tree and like Karen in france. There they are fast growers indeed, throw out lots of suckers, good for cuttings, but they are pollinated by flies and smell pretty awful. They look gorgeous though with the advantage of beautiful big leaves but maybe not too close to the kitchen door!! How is yours doing after all this time?

Hi Resi , sorry just seen your comment . The bean tree is doing great. I've had to trim off some lower branches that were over hanging my neighbour's garden, and the leaves were much bigger as Karen mentioned , so trimmed more this spring. I've not really noticed a smell but maybe it's because it's not as hot here as in France. It's just coming into leaf now .
