Bit scratched..... But satisfied :)

I am loving these light nights :) just in from the garden, it’s 10.45pm and it’s twilight here in Glasgow. I have potted up all my seeds from Fran and Grandmage which arrived yesterday. I have sown the wildflower mix from Grandmage in the long border in the back garden, along with a handful of the fennel seed, which smell absolutely wonderful. I added 70 litres of general purpose compost to help rhem along. My honeysuckle was throwing our it’s scent too so I had a lovely few hours out in the back. I also planted out most of the primula, and the self sown foxgloves I had collected from around the garden, the poundland echinea and commelina have been planted out also ….. And some hardy pink cuttings moved in to the long border. The midges came out to play so I headed round the front and butchered the privet some more….. It’s now a mere shadow of its former self, reduced to knee height. The soil in the front is sooooo sticky, even though we have had 3 dry days….. I’m leaving the holly hock and eringeum (sp) in the ground out front just now as they are growing and look ok. I have now accepted that I have been cultivating chickweed :( so ripped most of the up, shameas mini doodle chucked 5 packs of seed round and has only 1 giant sunflower seedling to show for her efforts. My containers are looking rather good, although my red lobelia turns out to be purple!! But the purple is Very complimentary to my viola so :) happy face :) I am going to cRome back and edit this blog with pics, but wanted to jot everything down while fresh in my mind, oh forgot to say I rescued the 2 ferns from skip corner and rehoused them too…..now time for a cuppa and a bite to eat….. And some sudocreme on the scratches from the privet :)

Well good for you, thats a good evening session, I remember the times when I used to stay outside until I could no longer see what I was doing, lol, my night time gardening is now done on here, I commented on another blog earlier as to how the evenings don`t keep the warmth any longer even when we have had a lovely day..
I`ll look out for your photo`s..
