Nantes flower show

once again the club arranged another trip this time it was to Nante about 4 hours away from us.
we left our village about 11 30 am had to pick up another club on the way.
the journey was very pleasent and we arrived at the hotel expecting to have our evening meal there but to our surprise we were to spend the evening on the river. I didnot take my camera with me as it was pouring with rain, that was a silly thing to do by the time we were going up river the evening had changed and I have never seen so many Herons /ducks/cormerants in my life I was just like a little girl again all excited at what i was seeing.
On the other side of the river we must have seen about 20 beautifull Chateau’s
And as the boat had to turn around someone had a fireworks display it was as though it was for us. the meal was really great and we only just finished it in time to get of the boat.
The next day we were on our way to the show we were nice and early our hotel was only 10 mins away,so it was not to crowded, but later on the only way I could take a photo was to hold the camera at arms lenth and hope for luck.
By the time we got back outside I had run out of power the battery was empty.
there were a lot of side tent selling pot plants Fuchsias, Roses, Clamatis,Rhododendrons, and carrier bags full of bulbs and all sort of mixed flowers, but the tent I went to sold Orchid’s and I brought a yellow one with Cerise stripes.
we had to be back at the coach to leave at 3 30 but it was well after 4 before we got out of the coach park.
we stopped on the way home for another nice Meal and finally arrived home about 11 but it was a very good time had by all.

Thanks for your tour we only ever go round the perifique of Nantes, scared of getting lost as it is rather a large place. Loved your photographs.

Our eldest son only lives 1 hour from Nante and we had never been in to the centre But what a beautifull place the Catherdale looked as though it was made of ivory we went around in a little train it was a bit bumpy as the roads were cobbles but if you have an opportunity to go I am sure you would love it there is so much to see.
Regards
