When we returned the garden had grown a bit like a jungle so I set to and have given it the Chelsea Chop and tidied it up. Rambling Rector has been trimmed back and the carpet of petals have been removed. Can anybody name the golden rose ?
Hope you enjoy these photos taken this lovely afternoon.

Hope you had a good holiday Marjories. Sorry, can't help with naming the rose, but like the other flowers in your garden it's lovely.

Gg I think the clematis is Corrine.
Also I have found the label off the golden rose and it is called Pride of Cheshire ( I'm a Cheshire Girl)
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Yes we did have a great holiday cruising around the British Isles. Now back to reality ?

I hope you had a good holiday and the garden looks as if it survived very well in your absence. I didn't see any weeds, so you either had a quick sprint round before you took the photo's or they are too small to notice.
The flowers are lovely, especially the white Clematis. No idea about the name of the Rose though, just pretty without one - 'a Rose by any other name smells just as sweet'!
